GM to become Suzuki's biggest shareholder
John Smith, chairman and chief executive officer of General
Motors Corp., (R) and Osamu Suzuki, president of Japan's Suzuki Motor
Ltd., speak at a news conference in Tokyo on Wednesday Sept. 16 on an
agreement between the two automakers to expand their business tie-up.
The U.S. auto giant agreed to raise its stake in Suzuki to become the
largest shareholder in Japan's top minivehicle producer.
