Eizenstat speaks in Tokyo
Stuart Eizenstat, U.S. undersecretary of state for economic,
business and agricultural affairs, speaks at the Foreign
Correspondents' Club of Japan in Tokyo on Sept. 16. He said the
United States is lowering the bar developing countries have to jump
for it to submit for congressional ratification of a global climate
change protocol adopted in Kyoto last December. Eizenstat visited
Tokyo for two-day ministerial talks on global warming with 20 other
countries starting Sept. 17.
