3 Airlines run test flights for Y2K glitches
TOKYO, Japan - Transport Minister Jiro Kawasaki (third from L) prepares to board a jumbo jet of Japan Airlines (JAL) at Haneda airport on the night of Sept. 13. He supervised a test flight to confirm that JAL's computer system had been successfully reprogrammed to prevent Y2K-related computer glitches. All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Japan Air System (JAS) simultaneously carried out similar tests.
