Kosovo boy's eye tumor almost cured
KANAZAWA, Japan - An ethnic Albanian boy from Kosovo suffering from a malignant tumor of the retina leaves Kanazawa University hospital in Ishikawa Prefecture on Nov. 17 after treatment which lasted four months was successful. Photo shows Nezir Shinik, 3, leaving the hospital with his father Abdurahman Shinik, 41, (R) and mother Hyrmet Shinik, 40, (behind) being seen off by hospital staff. The boy arrived at the hospital July 7 and is scheduled to return home Dec. 2.
