Yokoyama receives educational award in S. Africa
PRETORIA, South Africa - Osaka Gov. Knock Yokoyama (R) shakes hands with South African Deputy President Jacob Zuma after receiving a special educational award on Nov. 20 for helping to donate abandoned bicycles to South Africa's children. Women's groups and others in Japan, however, are protesting Yokoyama's trip to South Africa, saying the 67-year-old governor does not deserve such a prize from South Africa because of his loss in a sexual harassment suit.
