G-8 leaders gather for 2nd-day session of Okinawa summit

NAGO, Japan - Leaders of the Group of Eight (G-8) industrial nations gather in front of the Bankoku Shinryokan, a newly built convention center for the annual summit, ahead of the start of the second-day session of the three-day event in Nago, Okinawa, on the morning of July 22. They are (from L to R) Italian Prime Minister Giuliano Amato, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Bill Clinton, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori, French President Jacques Chirac, Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder and European Commission President Romano Prodi.
