No record of missing Briton leaving Japan despite BBC report
TOKYO, Japan - File photo shows Lucie blackman, 22, who went missing after leaving her apartment in Tokyo's Shibuya Ward on July 1. The British Broadcasting Corp. (BBC) reported Sept. 2 she was witnessed by an Australian tourist at a cash machine in Hong Kong sometime between July 16 and 18. Japanese police said there is no record of Blackman leaving Japan, adding her passport was left behind. Her family is offering a reward of 100,000 pounds ($145,000) for information leading to her whereabouts.
