Afghanistan to introduce conscription system
KABUL, Afghanistan - Defense Minister Mohammad Quassem Fahim (file photo) said Jan. 12 that the Afghan Interim Authority will begin a conscription system for all male graduates of high school, the state-run Radio Afghanistan reported. A new military unit will be established in Kabul, he said.
