Interview with 'Japan's Schindler' made public

GIFU, Japan - Visitors at a museum in Yaotsu in Gifu Prefecture commemorating Chiune Sugihara, a Japanese diplomat who is known as ''Japan's Schindler'' use headphones to listen to a recording of an interview given by Sugihara. The museum made Sugihara's recording available to the general public on April 2, in which Sugihara revealed reasons for issuing transit visas to thousands of Jews in defiance of Japanese government policy.
