Japanese researchers develop low-noise wind power system

TOKYO, Japan - A new low-noise wind power system that can adapt to changes in wind direction and continue rotating is set to hit the market in Japan for public use. Kazuichi Seki, professor of a Tokai University science and technology research center and a member of a team that developed the system, said similar research on the development of such windmill-shaped generators has been done abroad but that this is the first time such a system has been put to practical use.
