Lions' Cabrera hits season's 55th homer

TOKOROZAWA, Japan - Seibu Lions slugger Alex Cabrera hits a solo home run, his 55th homer of the season, over the left-field fence in the eighth inning off Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes pitcher Akira Okamoto at Seibu Dome in Tokorozawa, Saitama Prefecture, on Oct. 2, matching Japanese baseball's single-season home run record set by Sadaharu Oh of the Yomiuri Giants in 1964 and Tuffy Rhodes of the Osaka Kintetsu Buffaloes in 2001.
