Daiei Hawks owner Nakauchi to resign as director at 4 units

FUKUOKA, Japan - Tadashi Nakauchi, the owner of the professional baseball club Fukuoka Daiei Hawks, speaks at a press conference at Fukuoka Dome in Fukuoka on Oct. 10 about his intention to retain his current post. But Nakauchi said he will step down as director at four other subsidiaries of ailing retailer Daiei Inc. by the end of October. Nakauchi is a son of Isao Nakauchi, the founder and former chairman of Daiei. (Kyodo)
