TOYAMA, Japan - Hokuriku Bank President Shigeo Takagi gives a press conference at his office in Toyama on May 23 on an agreement with Hokkaido Bank to integrate their businesses under a joint holding company in fiscal 2004. The merger will create Japan's second largest regional bank in terms of deposits after the Bank of Yokohama. (Kyodo)
