AMMAN, Jordan - A Jordanian military tribunal sentenced a Japanese photojournalist to 18 months in prison on June 1 for causing an explosion at Amman airport on May 1 that killed one airport security guard and injured five others. The presiding judge, Fawaz al-Bkour (C), handed down the sentence on Hiroki Gomi, 36, an employee of the Mainichi Shimbun, saying that ''the explosion occurred due to Gomi's carelessness.''
