Vissel Kobe to seek court protection

KOBE, Japan - Haruo Nakano (C), president of Vissel Kobe Corp., which manages J-League first division team Vissel Kobe, speaks at a press conference in Kobe on Dec. 13. He said the company plans to apply for court protection from creditors under the Civil Rehabilitation Law and transfer the management of the team. The Kobe-based company said it will select a new management company through a bid as early as January under conditions that the team's home ground and name will remain the same. (Kyodo)
