(2)Gov't to end cap on Minamata disease-linked medical fee help
TOKYO, Japan - Environment Minister Yuriko Koike speaks at a press conference April 7 on her ministry's decision to abolish a cap on medical expense assistance for unrecognized Minamata mercury-poisoning sufferers under a new support program. Under the program, the 7,500 yen-per-month cap for the Minamata disease sufferers will be abolished but procedures will be eased for them to apply for the reimbursement of medical fees. (Kyodo)
