Designer Ishizu dies at 93
TOKYO, Japan - Kensuke Ishizu (in photo taken in 1993), a well-known clothing designer, died of pneumonia on May 24 at a Tokyo hospital, his family said. He was 93. After establishing his brand, VAN, in 1951, Ishizu contributed to making men's Ivy League style a fashion vogue in Japan in the 1960s. (Kyodo)
