Japan-born Nepalese 4-yr-old boy survives two major quakes
Four-year-old Samrat Khatri (R), a Japan-born Nepalese boy, is staying with his parents Him Bahadur Khatri (L) and Hem Kumari Khatri in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, where they work, as seen on June 11, 2015. Samrat has shuttled between Japan and Nepal -- first to Nepal at six months old to temporarily flee the 2011 quake-triggered Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, and later again at 2 years old to attend an English school in Nepal, but is now back in Japan after surviving the major earthquake in Nepal in April. His parents plant to send him back to Nepal again when his grandparents' home is repaired. (Kyodo)
