Man shows postcard from father killed on Pacific island in WWII

Akihiro Nakamura, a 72-year-old tax accountant, shows in Sendai, northeastern Japan, in August 2015 a copy of the postcard written by his father Minoru who died on the Pacific island of Iwoto, some 1,250 kilometers south of Tokyo, in one of the fiercest battles of World War II. The postcard, in which Minoru expressed feelings for his wife and son Akihiro, was picked up by a U.S. soldier on the island and returned to his family at the end of 2009. (Kyodo) ==Kyodo
