Japan-led nuke abolition motion fails to get backing of key powers
China's Ambassador for Disarmament Affairs Fu Cong fields questions from reporters at the U.N. headquarters in New York on Nov. 2, 2015, about Beijing's vote against a Japanese-sponsored draft resolution calling for the abolition of nuclear weapons. Fu criticized the resolution's mentioning of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings as purporting to portray Japan as a victim of World War II while whitewashing its aggression of China. (Kyodo)
