Farm to commercialize university-developed "eel-tasting" catfish

A sample of grilled catfish, prepared to taste like Japanese "unagi" eels broiled in sweet soy sauce, is presented to the media during an event in Osaka, western Japan, on Nov. 13, 2015. Makihara Yoman, an eel farm in Kagoshima Prefecture, southwestern Japan, announced at the event it will launch a business to commercialize the catfish, bred by researchers at Kinki University to taste like scarce unagi amid dwindling supply of freshwater eels.
