Japan begins COVID-19 vaccine to health workers

Kazuhiro Araki, head of the Tokyo Medical Center, meets the press at his hospital in Tokyo's Meguro Ward on Feb. 17, 2021, after he was administered the first COVID-19 vaccine under Japan's program against the novel coronavirus. Japan is starting with an initial group of 40,000 health workers before expanding the rollout to the elderly and people with preexisting conditions.
