Omura thanks late wife in winning Nobel prize
Japanese biologist Satoshi Omura shows reporters the picture of his family he always carries around in his wallet in front of his home in Tokyo on Oct. 6, 2015, a day after he received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine with two scientists from Ireland and China. Omura paid tribute to his late wife Fumiko (pictured left in the photo), who passed away approximately 15 years ago, and said that he plans to bring the picture to the award ceremony to be held on Dec. 10 in Stockholm.
