      Transfer of castle tower completes

      People celebrate as the transfer of the Hirosaki Castle tower in the northeastern Japanese city of Hirosaki completed on Oct. 24, 2015. During the first operation in 100 years, the municipal government raised the three-story, 400-ton tower by hydraulic jacks and moved it on carriages 70 meters by rail in two months to allow its stone wall foundation to be reconstructed.
