Chinese shops pull Japanese food items from shelves over safety fears
Shelves are empty at a supermarket in Shanghai on March 17, 2017 after Japanese food products were pulled from them. A number of Chinese stores have pulled Japanese food products from their shelves after a television show aired earlier in the week by China's state-run broadcaster CCTV alleged that some items are from areas affected by the 2011 Fukushima nuclear disaster.
