Stair-climbing robot

A logistics robot that can climb up or down stairs is demonstrated at an apartment complex in Fujisawa, near Tokyo, on Dec. 5, 2019. The "soft-bodied" robot, which uses sponge in its caterpillar belt, has been developed by Amoeba Energy Co., a venture company founded by Keio University associate professor Masashi Aono, to help transport items for elderly people living in apartment buildings without an elevator.
