Accidental drop of mock bomb by U.S. fighter
Col. Kristopher Struve, wing commander of the U.S. military's Misawa air base in Aomori Prefecture, northeastern Japan, meets the press there on April 13, 2020, to explain the accidental drop of a mock bomb from an F-16 fighter last year. A U.S. F-16 fighter jet dropped a 230-kilogram mock bomb during training over private land near the base in November 2019 in an accident caused by a human error.
