Japan's 2nd qtr GDP shrinks at record 27.8% amid virus pandemic

Japanese economic revitalization minister Yasutoshi Nishimura meets the press in Tokyo on Aug. 17, 2020, after the government announced Japan's economy in the April-June quarter shrank an annualized real 27.8 percent from the previous quarter, the sharpest contraction on record, amid the coronavirus pandemic.
