Supercomputer for plasma simulation

Photo taken on Aug. 29, 2020, at the National Institute for Fusion Science in Toki in Gifu Prefecture shows the Raijin supercomputer introduced by the central Japan lab to simulate plasma phenomena that occur in nuclear fusion. The computer, put into use in July and unveiled to the media Aug. 29, is capable of computing 10,500 trillion transactions per second.
