Lazy mine

A part of Lazy mine is seen on November 18, 2019, near Karvina, Czech Republic. Czech coal-mining firm OKD has extracted all economically viable black coal deposits at its Lazy mine and will discontinue mining at the site on November 28, OKD's spokesman Ivo Celechovsky told journalists on November 18, 2019. The mine began operating in 1892. During its almost 130-year history, some 146 million tonnes of quality black coal were extracted there. The mine currently employs almost 300 people. Some 100 of them will take part in the mine's phaseout and removal, said Celechovsky. (CTK Photo/Jaroslav Ozana)
