This seems to be a southern view of the Senju Kannon sculptures facing south at Rengeo-in (Sanjusangendo). The main hall was rebuilt in 1266. A total of 1001 Senju Kannon (thousand-armed deity of mercy statues) surround, in rows of 10 by 50, the statue of seated Kannon in the centre. Taken by Tamamura Kozaburo. A small wooden offering stand is visible in front of the statues.             The Rokudo Jizo are typical examples of stone Buddhist statues in Hakone together with the Magai botoke of Nijugobosatsu. It was carved on a rock facing Shojin Lake at the foot of the Mt. Kamifutagoyama, and has a height of over 4 meters. It was completed in 1300, and the Buddhist ceremony to consecrate a newly made image was conducted by Ryokan Boninjo.               The Nio Gate of Kiyomizu Temple. There are stone lanterns on both the north and the south sides of the stone stairway in front of the gate. The west gate and the three-story pagoda are visible on the far right. Built during the Muromachi Era (1392-1573), the Nio Gate had three rooms and one door with a hiwadabuki (bark-covered) roof. The statue of Kongo Rikishi is situated in the area surrounded by a kongo fence (a fence made of vertical stakes with decoratively shaped finials resembling the ritual object called kongosho used in esoteric Buddhist rites) with lattice work above it.
