Princess Noriko relinquishes imperial family status
TOKYO, Japan - Imperial Household Agency Grand Steward Noriyuki Kazaoka registers on Oct. 6, 2014, at the Imperial Household Agency's Archives and Mausolea Department in Tokyo that Princess Noriko, a daughter of Emperor Akihito's late cousin Prince Takamado, lost her imperial family status after she married Kunimaro Senge, the eldest son of Izumo Taisha, a Shinto shrine in Shimane Prefecture.
