Hokkaido Electric Power chief sees need for reactor restart

TOKYO, Japan - Akihiko Mayumi, president of Hokkaido Electric Power Co., tells a press conference in Tokyo on Nov. 14, 2014, that the utility will lower electricity charges if it is allowed to reactivate its nuclear power plant in the village of Tomari, west of Sapporo, on the northernmost main island of Hokkaido.
