Kyushu Electric stresses need for successful reactor restart

FUKUOKA, Japan - Michiaki Uriu, president of Kyushu Electric Power Co., delivers a New Year address to company officials at the utility's head office in Fukuoka, southwestern Japan, on Jan. 5, 2015. He stressed that Kyushu Electric must be successful in reactivating its Sendai nuclear power plant in Kagoshima Prefecture, possibly in March, to become the first of the idled nuclear plants to restart operations in Japan after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami.
