Deep sea exploration vessel Chikyu

NAGOYA, Japan - Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corp. unveils to the press the deep sea exploration vessel Chikyu at Shimizu port in Shizuoka Prefecture on Feb. 10, 2012, ahead of its departure Feb. 12 for Pacific waters off central Japan where it will conduct preparatory drilling for the world's first seabed methane hydrate production tests in early 2013.
