Couple who survived tsunami for 3rd time
OTSUCHI, Japan - Tatsuo Oguni (L), 82, and wife Sadako, 83, who have survived three major tsunamis including the March 11, 2011 tsunami which wiped away their home, pose for photos at an evacuation center in Otsuchi, Iwate Prefecture, on April 2. The couple, who experienced the 1933 magnitude 8.1 Showa Sanriku earthquake and tsunami as toddlers, and the 1960 tsunami caused by a magnitude 9.5 earthquake in Chile, said the latest disaster was the worst but that they believe their town will overcome it as it has in the past.
