TEDDINGTON STUDIOS, England, January 1948. Owned by the US company Warner Bros, picture shows Stage 2 of two stages. The original Stage 2 was completely destroyed by V1 bombs on 5th July 1944 as was much of the rest of the studio. There were 3 fatalities. The studios covered four and a half acres at this time, Stage 1 measuring 146 feet by 72 ft Stage 2 - 135ft by 85 ft. The rebuilt studio stage was formally opened on Thurs 29 January 1948 by US star actor Danny Kaye, for the studio's owners Warner Bros.The first production at the rebuilt studio was NOOSE starring Americans Carole Landis and Joseph Calleia, produced by Edward Dryhurst and directed by Edmond T Greville from a play by Richard Llewellyn
