Former home affairs minister, MITI head Murata dies at 79
NAGOYA, Japan - Keijiro Murata (file photo), a former minister of home affairs and head of the former Ministry of International Trade and Industry, died after a stroke at a hospital in Toyohashi, Aichi Prefecture, on April 2, his family said. He was 79. Murata retired from politics in 2000. (Kyodo)
