Labor unions seek indictment of Nova over delayed wage payment

OSAKA, Japan - Foreign teachers at English-language school operator Nova Corp. hold up placards demanding that Nova pay wages owed to them in front of the Osaka Central Labor Standards Supervision Office in Osaka's Chuo Ward on Oct. 16. They submitted a petition to the office asking it to seek indictment of the company and its president, Nozomu Sahashi, on charges of breaching labor standards laws. (Kyodo)
