Union for ex-Nova teachers files report against new employer

OSAKA, Japan - A labor union for teachers who worked at the now-bankrupt language school chain Nova Corp. filed a report Feb. 15 with the Osaka District Court saying the teachers' current employer G.communication Co. has dismissed a number of staffers against its initial accord to rehire all. Photo shows foreign language teachers claiming in a gathering in Osaka the same day that G.communication has failed to write and sign employment contracts with the teachers in violation of the labor standards law.
