Nobel laureate Yunus promotes micro-credit scheme in Japan
TOKYO, Japan - Muhammad Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank and this year's Nobel Peace Prize winner, answers a reporter's question at a press conference at a Tokyo hotel on Oct. 25. He called for the Japanese government to introduce the idea of ''micro-credit'' in extending aid to developing countries, quoting his acclaimed scheme of providing loans to the poor without collateral.
