NAGOYA, Japan - Khin Maung Hla, a 40-year-old Myanmar man who is seeking asylum in Japan on the grounds that he faces persecution in his home country due to his involvement in pro-democracy activities, arrives at the Nagoya High Court on Jan. 18 to hear the court's ruling on his appeal. He had appealed the Tokyo High Court decision to the Supreme Court.
