Nagano court dismisses damages suit over Chinese forced laborers

NAGANO, Japan - Plaintiff Cang Xinshu, 79, speaks at a meeting of his supporters held in Nagano on March 10 prior to a court ruling on his damages suit. The Nagano District Court later dismissed the suit filed by Cang, three other former Chinese laborers, and the family members of four deceased laborers who demanded that the state pay 140 million yen in compensation.
