Yanase Honorary Chairman Jiro Yanase dies at 91

TOKYO, Japan -Jiro Yanase (file photo), honorary chairman of Yanase & Co., who pioneered the auto import business in Japan, died March 13 at a Tokyo hospital of pneumonia at age 91, his family said. Yanase, who was ran the imported car dealership for over half a century, was inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame in the United States in 2004. (Kyodo)
