Court approves fishermen's plea against project to fill in bay

SAGA, Japan - The Saga District Court on Friday ordered the state to open the Isahaya Bay dike (in file photo taken in November 2007) in Nagasaki Prefecture, ruling in favor of some 2,500 fishermen who claim the government's project to fill in the bay has damaged the seawater environment in the area and their fishery businesses. Half of a highway serving as a main transportation artery in Shenzhen's eastern areas has been completed. The highway stretches 32.2 kilometers from the Liantang Port to Jinqian'ao overpass, going through three districts including Luohu, Longgang and Pingshan.
