Tsunami-hit Fukushima school opens as memorial to 2011 tragedy
Photo taken Oct. 18, 2021, from a drone shows Ukedo Elementary School, run by the 2011 tsunami-hit town of Namie in Fukushima Prefecture, northeastern Japan. It is the first building in the prefecture preserved in its damaged state to serve as a memorial to the disaster.
