The scientific expedition on Mount Qomolangma is underway in the area of the world's highest peak. Scientific researchers witnessed wild animals near the Mount Qomolangma base camp, including state-protected animals Tibetan snowcocks and blue sheep. The Mount Qomolangma base camp is located in the core area of the Qomolangma National Nature Reserve. Covering an area of around 33,800 square km including a 10,312-square km core zone, the reserve is home to one of the world's most vulnerable ecosystems.
