STORYLINE:
A medical team aiding Shanghai in its fight against the COVID-19 resurgence returned to east China's Shandong Province on Sunday.
The team included 1,045 members. They were the first batch of medics that returned home via high-speed trains.
To ensure their smooth and safe return, Shanghai railway authorities organized a "green passage," and took all necessary pandemic prevention measures.
Last week, Shanghai cut off the community transmission of COVID-19 in all its 16 districts.
More than 30,000 medics nationwide were mobilized to aid the megacity in its fight against COVID-19.
