The Central Bank of Chile projected that the inflation in 2022 will reach a rate of around 10 percent and that its variation in the third semester of 2022 will be about 13 percent, in a report released this week.
The report highlights that economists and financiers expect inflation to persist at around 3 percent for the next two years, while business expectations for a longer time frame are also increasing.
The President of the Central Bank of Chile Rosanna Costa declared that inflation in Chile is at its highest level in decades, adding that the rise in inflation is a phenomenon affecting many economies around the world.
