The Dazhuangke section of the Great Wall dates back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). The current research work mainly focuses on the analysis of the root cause of different damage in the section by figuring out factors like its architectural form, building materials and construction skills. Researchers said that this study laid a systematic basis for bringing about further protection plans.
